5KG Biltong Box Warthog Family With LED Fan & Window
This is a custom made Warthog Family engraved biltong drying box with an LED lamp. The boxes come in a natural pine, teak effect, white wash or oak effect.
The box works with a 50w infra-red heat element and a small LED fan. With the two together it creates a constant warm air flow for drying.
It is a misconception that heat is the the key ingredient that dries the biltong. Heat is required to lower the humidity as here our British climate is very humid compared to Africa , it is the air flow that dries the biltong. After all, the whole concept of biltong is it being air dried, so don’t worry too much about the heat, we aren’t wanting to cook it!
This box can hold up to 5kgs of meat.
Drying time is 3 to 4 days depending on cut and your own preference.

**Almost all of our products are handmade from natural pine wood. Pine is a soft wood and although it resits shrinking and swelling, due to the nature in which the box is being used it will move and warp from temperature, humidity, moisture and air flow over time. If your box does warp, wipe it with a damp cloth, lie it on a flat surface and place something heavy on it. If it is the door that warps, wipe it with a damp cloth and lie it face down on a flat surface**
