Our biltong maker works with a fan only and is most effective in warm indoor environments with low humidity. It’s an ideal choice for beginners looking to try their hand at biltong-making. Our box design allows you to view your biltong from all angles, offering a panoramic experience.

Contrary to popular belief, biltong is not dried solely through heat. In our more humid British climate compared to Africa, airflow plays a crucial role in the drying process. Biltong is all about air-drying, so don’t fret too much about the heat—cooking is not our aim!

Our biltong maker can accommodate up to 3kg of wet meat, fish, fruit or herbs in a single batch. Drying times typically range from 4 to 5 days, depending on the item and your preference.

Measuring 43cm in height, 31cm in depth, and 31cm in width, this energy-efficient drying box operates at less than 20W of power. It arrives fully assembled, with the exception of the outside handle, which is packaged separately to ensure safe shipping.

Key features of the box include three hanging rails for easy drying, a removable drip tray for simple cleaning and a door latch for secure and convenient access.

With your purchase, you receive 100g of sample biltong spice to kick-start your drying journey, along with 10 plastic hooks, clear user instructions, a basic recipe and a 1-year warranty for parts.

If you require customisation, kindly specify your preferences in the personalisation box during checkout. Please note that the box’s surface can accommodate 1-3 words, depending on their length.

Each box is handcrafted, resulting in unique variations in appearance. While our product images serve as a reference, the actual box you receive may differ.

Most of our products are crafted from natural pine wood, a resilient softwood that withstands shrinking and swelling. However, given the drying conditions (temperature, humidity, moisture, and airflow), the box may undergo some changes and warping over time. Rest assured, these variations won’t impact the drying process or the box’s functionality.
